  • Baby Dedication Service / Mother’s Day

    Mother’s Day, May 11 | Contemporary Service  We are so excited to be conducting a baby/child dedication. If you have a young child who has not yet been dedicated to the Lord, please reach out to Danielle Cummings to inquire about taking part. This dedication will take place at the beginning of the Contemporary Service at 11:00 am, which will enable those attending the Traditional Service at 8:45 to attend just the first part of that second service to celebrate this dedication with us.

  • Watermelon, Water, & the Word

    Watermelon, Water, & the Word  Weds., May 14 | 6:30 PM  Meet at the Youth Building for a beach fellowship night! We’ll provide the watermelon, God provides the water (Atlantic Ocean!), and we’ll share a devotional on the beach. We'll return by 8 PM.

  • Graduation Recognition Service

    Sun., May 18 | 2nd Service | Deadline for Photo and Info: May 12th  We are so proud of our graduates here at FBCHHI.  We will be celebrating and recognizing this great milestone in their lives during the 2nd service on May 18th. If you plan on participating, we will need a current picture (ex. senior picture), full name, where they are graduating from, where they are going (college), and future plans, favorite Bible verse and why and favorite Bible story and why by May 12th.

  • Internship Summer 2025

    May 19 – July 28  The internship will develop young leaders under the guidance of our staff to discover the gifts God has given them and know how to effectively use them in ministry. In addition to participating in staff meetings, mission trips, camps, and local outreach, students will be given the opportunity to hone in on their talents and choose to develop their skills in a specific area: worship, pastoral ministry, and family ministry through camps and VBS. Students must have their own vehicle.

  • Young Adult Small Group (18-30)

    Weekly on Thursdays | 6:30 - 7:30 PM | Panera Bread in Bluffton | "Experiencing God" by Blackaby | Led by Jennifer and Wayne Kearney  Join our young adults as we go through "Experiencing God" by Henry Blackaby. This is a great study, and we are excited to grow more in our relationship with God! We have extra books if you would like to join!

  • SummerSalt and KidSalt Parent Meeting

    June 1st | After Second Service | Youth Bldg.  This meeting is for parents of students and kids attending Camp. It will be immediately after the 2nd Service in the Youth Building. Required paperwork will be handed out to be filled out.

  • VBS Workday

    VBS Workday    June 4 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM   We are so excited for our Kids Camp/VBS! Join us as we prepare for all the kids who are coming to camp!

  • Kid’s Camp @ FBCHHI

    June 9 - 13 | 9 AM - 4 PM | Cost: TBD  Get ready kids for one of the best weeks of your summer! Kids Camp at First Baptist!! We will have VBS in the morning and with Sports and Music / Arts Camp in the Afternoon. This camp will be from 9am-4pm. VBS 9am-12pm - Ages 4yr-5th Grade Lunch @ 12pm for kids who are staying for the afternoon session. Lunch and Afternoon session will only be for kids who have finished the 1st - 5th grade. Sports Camp 1pm-4pm - Each day we will play and offer instructional

  • SummerSalt Youth Camp

    June 30–July 4 | Charleston Southern University This youth camp at Charleston Southern University costs $250. Deadline to sign up is January 26th.  This will make a great Christmas gift.

  • Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting

    Wednesdays | 6:30 PM | Youth Building  Starting July 2nd, we will begin Wednesday Night Prayer Meetings at 6:30 pm in the Youth Building. It will be a time of a short devotion and then prayer, and last until about 7:15 pm. There will be a dessert social to follow every week! Everyone is welcome to join!

  • Mission Team!

    July 5-12  We have confirmed that we have a mission team (around 50 people) coming from First Baptist Church of Barnwell, SC to graciously help with some strategic projects on our campus. They will be building some bunk beds for mission teams and youth retreats, converting a bathroom to include showers, and doing some renovation work on the stage in our Sanctuary. Their primary work days will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (July 7, 8, 10, 11). If you have time to volunteer some time working alongside them, that would be a great help and blessing to them. Mike

  • No Sunday School!

    Sun. July 6 | 9:45 AM | Ed. Bldg. There will be no Sunday School at all on July 6th because we are hosting a mission team all throughout the Education Building! Most of the Sunday School rooms will be used for our mission team to sleep and for equipment storage.
