Sunday Mornings at FBCHHI
First Baptist Church Hilton Head Island is sometimes called the “Visitor’s Church” because of the myriad of visitors that come to vacation in Hilton Head Island and join us for worship. On any given Sunday, people in the congregation may be sitting beside a long-time member, a newly joined member, a “Watchare” member who is only on the island for a few weeks of the year but regularly attends when they are on HHI, or a visitor from our local area, across the United States, or from overseas.
We welcome all who come to worship with us on Sunday mornings. Many visitors also attend our Sunday School/Bible Study classes the hour before worship. All our teachers are accustomed to having visitors and do their best to make everyone feel welcome and included.
Coffee/Donuts Fellowship 9:00 AM
Sunday School 9:15 AM
Sunday School is a great way to begin forming friendships within the church. Sunday School is not just for children, and FBCHHI has some extraordinarily strong Bible teachers. For adults, there are a variety of classes to choose from. Currently, due to the pandemic, there is no Children’s Sunday School but we offer a Sunday School class where parents and their children and youth go to class together in the Student Building. A listing of the all the classes, where they meet, what they study, and the name of the teachers can be found under the Sunday School tab of our website. What is important to know is that all our classes are open to all.
Children’s Church 10:30 AM
Babies through 2nd grade children are invited to the Children’s Building for Children’s Church during the 11:00 AM worship service. Children have their own worship time and, also have other activities that enhance the stories of the Bible.
Our Children’s Ministry does a great job at leading your kids in an exciting, age appropriate, and safe environment. When you bring your children to check them in, a volunteer will briefly explain the check-in/check-out process that we use to keep your precious little ones safe.
Worship 10:30 AM
Worship takes place in our Sanctuary at 10:30 AM. Our worship is supported by music that reflects both traditional hymn styles and contemporary songs. The pastor brings the message from the Bible, making it relevant to our lives. We are always encouraged to share our faith in Christ with the world. Join us for worship and open your heart to the Word of God.
Student’s Worship/Bible Study 6:30 PM
Worship/Bible Study for student’s in grades 6th-12th.
