  • Disaster Relief Spring Training

    Sat. Mar. 8 | 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (check-in opens at 7:30 a.m.) | Alice Drive Baptist Church  This training will prepare SC Baptist volunteers to meet needs after a disaster, serving with SC Baptist Disaster Relief (DR). Classes will be offered in many of the ministry areas of Baptist DR. An “Introduction to Disaster Relief” class is required of all new volunteers. The day will include three training class times, a general session, a regional meeting, and lunch. Sign Up on our website!

    March. 10-11 | Charleston Southern University | First 10 Who Sign Up will be Covered by FBCHHI Who is my neighbor, and how do I talk to them? Believe it or not, most church-goers struggle to answer these questions! DiscipleSC is geared towards trying to help people answer this. The answer is not simply a method but a Biblical understanding of how Jesus made disciples. Biblical understanding brings clarity to our calling and helps us communicate better with those around us.   • Family Night at FBCHHI

    Weds., Mar. 19 | 6:30 PM | FLC Chasing Hope Tour is coming to Hilton Head First Baptist. What is Chasing Hope Tour? The Chasing Hope Tour is the true-life story of Don “Fastest Pastor” Wickstrum. Come hear the encouraging, inspirational testimony of Race Car Driver Phil Wickstrum.  This will be an event for the whole family.  This event will start in the  FLC at 6:30pm after the Wednesday Night Meal.

  • Monthly Missions Focus: KAIROS Ministry

    March 20-23 The Spring Kairos Weekend Walk at Ridgeland Correctional Institution will be Thursday - Sunday, March 20-23.  Local Missionary Volunteers will spend 36 hours in small group settings listening to and sharing the Gospel with inmates.  These men need the hope and healing that can only be found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Pray for the local mission teams including our FBCHHI Kairos Team and the inmates who will participate in the Fall Weekend Walk. Bake dozens of cookies (using Kairos approved recipes).   • Ignite Event

    Mar. 28-29 | Savannah Convention Center | Greg Laurie As you are probably well aware, well known pastor and author Greg Laurie is coming to preach a revival-type event at the Savanah Convention Center on March 28 and 29. Be in prayer now for this event, that God would move in a powerful way, and that true revival would break out in area area. Consider how you may plug in with these event. It may be a great time to invite lost friends and neighbors to hear the Gospel proclaimed. We will likely be taking our church van for those who desire

  • Internship Summer 2025

    May 19 – July 28  The internship will develop young leaders under the guidance of our staff to discover the gifts God has given them and know how to effectively use them in ministry. In addition to participating in staff meetings, mission trips, camps, and local outreach, students will be given the opportunity to hone in on their talents and choose to develop their skills in a specific area: worship, pastoral ministry, and family ministry through camps and VBS. Students must have their own vehicle.

  • Kid’s Camp @ FBCHHI

    June 9 - 13 | 9 AM - 4 PM | Cost: TBD  Get ready kids for one of the best weeks of your summer! Kids Camp at First Baptist!! We will have VBS in the morning and with Sports and Music / Arts Camp in the Afternoon. This camp will be from 9am-4pm. VBS 9am-12pm - Ages 4yr-5th Grade Lunch @ 12pm for kids who are staying for the afternoon session. Lunch and Afternoon session will only be for kids who have finished the 1st - 5th grade.   • Mission Team!

    July 5-12  We have confirmed that we have a mission team (around 50 people) coming from First Baptist Church of Barnwell, SC to graciously help with some strategic projects on our campus. They will be building some bunk beds for mission teams and youth retreats, converting a bathroom to include showers, and doing some renovation work on the stage in our Sanctuary. Their primary work days will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (July 7, 8, 10, 11). If you have time to volunteer some time working alongside them, that would be a great help and blessing to them. Mike

  • Kairos Prison Ministry

    September 18-21  September 18-21  The Fall Kairos Walk at Ridgeland Correctional Institution is Thursday - Sunday, Sep 18-21. Missionary Volunteers at a four-day Kairos Weekend “Walk” spend 36 hours in small groups listening to and sharing with prisoners through 10 scripted talks that share the Truth of the Gospel. They hand out cookies as a way to bless these prisoners. If you'd like to make cookies, there are cookie recipes around the church with guidelines on how to make them. These cookies can be collected in the atrium of the Ed. Bldg. and the FLC lobby between the 7th and the 17th.
