1. Sermon for Sunday:  This Changes Everything, James 1:19-27

 

2. Graduates Recognition Sunday - We will be recognizing High School and College Graduates on Sunday, May 20, during the 10:30 AM worship service. They will also be honored with refreshments in the Family/Student Building following the morning worship service.

 

Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church Teacher Meeting Today Immediately after

Sunday’s Worship Service - Sunday, May 20, immediately following the worship service, there will be a very important meeting for all Children’s Sunday School and Children’s Church volunteers. The meeting will last only 10-15 minutes and will take place in room # 8 of the Children’s Building. Curtis Hart will be discussing security measures with us, getting us up to date on procedures that are meant to provide our children with a safe environment in which to learn and worship and play. 3. May Mission Project:  Baby Bottles to fill with coins, cash or checks will be available in the foyers of the sanctuary and Family Life Center. This money benefits the Pregnancy Center and Clinics of the Lowcountry. The deadline to return bottles (empty or full) is Sunday, May 27.

 

4. Two Summer Music Ministry Educational Opportunities!

   1. Summer Handbell Camp – will meet every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Choir Room during the months of June and July.  Open to youth and adults who are interested in learning how to ring handbells and handchimes as a part of the Handbell Ministry. No previous experience or music-reading ability is required.

 

   2. An Introduction to Sight Singing – will meet every Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. in the Choir Room during the months of June, July and August.  Open to youth and adults who are interested in learning to read music and/or improving their music reading skills through singing. 

   If you are interested in either one of these opportunities, please contact Richard Wade at the church office at 843-785-4478 to express your interest in participating this summer!

  

5. It’s time to register for "Game On" - VBS for Summer 2018 at FBCHHI

June 25 – 29, 2018 – 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon - Register through our website at www.fbchhi.org.

Both Children Attending and Volunteers can register via our website at www.fbchhi.org.
